old eggs
i was once a guest at a dinner where 10-year old eggs were served, and i was actually expected to eat it. they host had good intentions since many see this as a delicacy but i nearly barfed on my plate and lost my eyeballs. it was rude of me, but i couldn't hide my reaction to what i had just ingested.
so on the topic of very old eggs, i was seduced by the bird's nest of cadburry eggs i have in my snack drawer stashed away from last easter. i was so hungry that i decided it'd be best to eat one than to let them sit there getting older and older. let me just save your taste buds by saying i strongly advise against eating one year old cadbury eggs. the chocolate was okay tasting, though it was white-ish but the fondant filling had hardened and tasted like band-aids. yes, band-aids! how do i know what those taste like? well, i don't really seeing as i've never eaten one but sometimes i just know what things would taste like based on their smell!
the half-eaten cadbury and his other 3 friends are going to straight to my trash bin! history in being made- this is the first time i'm ever tossing uneaten chocolates!
um, my dog loves eating bandaids. She takes them out of the wrapper and eats them. Loves them. Hmmm, maybe that company can start making aged "filling" for doggies.
