law firm memories

today i went to lunch with frances and lara, my girls from the law firm days. we still work close to one another which is great because it allows us to stay in touch but without me having to work there.

when they ask me if i'm happy at my new job, i can't help but recall some of my favorite quotes from that place...

"if you wore your glasses maybe you wouldn't make so many mistakes."

"why did you use pink paper here? you thought it was pretty or something? it's not, so stick with the blue."

"see this-- this is my pet peeve. we don't care about the environment here, so don't use bits of post-its to convey your message, use the whole damn thing. we're not trying to save paper."

"when i say i want my signature pages, i want them now, not 3 seconds from now!"

am i happy at my new job?! what a funny question.

is this some sort of a joke or something? did people really say these things? are these lines from office space that I forgot to remember? This can't be real? You! You need to write a book if this stuff is for real.
