top chef

i love top chef. every wednesday at 11 pm, i start counting down until the next episode. best of all, it's taking place in san francisco so we're learning about more awesome places to add to our list of "must try." if there is top chef 2, i am so auditioning!

tonight miguel was eliminated- big suprise. he's been such an evil person lately! my next prediction is that stephen or dave will be cut. ultimately, i predict the top 3 as tiffany, leanne, and harold. i would like to see leanne or harold take #1 because tiffany is so obnoxious.

bachelorette vent

did i spell that right?  i somehow got sucked into the bachelorette vortex (i hate typing this word- i'm always worried that i mispelled it- here goes cut and paste!).  i've never watched a bachelor or bachelorette series.  it must've been the night i was laying on the couch, the first episode aired, and i was too lazy to find the remote control so it consumed me (i was also interested by the fact that she got to chose her own guys).  this is dangerous.  this almost happened to me with nanny 911 (fox's version of super nanny), and i don't even have kids.  i'm a glutton for reality tv and i'm afraid it's not going to end at the bachelorette.

the irony of the bachelorette and the bachelor is that they are always attractive, successful people, that would probably be the first people to be asked out on dates.  why do they need to be on the show to find a husband/wife, when there are some people who need way more help than them?!  to top it off, they are usually young- why is it so crucial for them to find their husband/wife in a matter of dates?!  and notice how minorities never make it past the second cut?!

i propose, they choose people who are:

older

not so attractive

don't have dream jobs

aren't fashionistas

maybe have some social issues

...basically, people that probably have a really hard time getting a date.

ralph thinks this would never work because he thinks (well, he could be right) that audiences would care less about less attractive desperate people than attractive desperate people.  well, i also suggested they have a queer eye for straight women, and now they do and i also wanted to see men's health mag for women- which is now in print (women's health mag).  i think i'm on to something here!  i should move to hollywood to become a producer!

my predictions for jen's top 3: jerry (why?), wendel (he's a sweet guy, husband-like guy), and john paul (although i'd prefer ryan).  i'm so glad fabrice is gone!  why would she choose a guy with a name so similar to fabreze?  he's a total jerk!
